New Option was already born with a great challenge: to make Tramontina (the biggest kitchen tools producer in Brazil) succeed in Russia. Present in more than 120 countries, this Brazilian icon has found the Russian market to be its third most important one, behind only Argentina and Brazil. Great challenges are in the company´s DNA and running in the veins of its Brazilian founder Darlan Moraes Jr., who lived, studied and worked in 6 different countries: Denmark, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Latvia and Russia.
With more than 20 years of experience in these countries – far beyond than the majority of Brazilians – New Option’s expertise is unique, and it comes exactly from the long years its founder spent and lived among the Northern people.

Our Founder
Darlan Moraes Júnior
is a true Brazilian globetrotter who has lived, studied and worked in six foreign countries for almost 20 years. Darlan was one of the first exchange students to choose Denmark as his destination (while the trend was towards the USA, Australia, Canada and New Zealand), in the late 1980s.
Back in Brazil, he graduated in Business Administration from PUC and Social Communication from ESPM, both in São Paulo. He began his career in advertising at MacCann in São Paulo and, after about 3 years in the Brazilian market, he felt it was time to take off again. This time – it was 1997 – he chose the former communist country of Slovakia as his destiny, becoming the first Brazilian to work in the advertising sector under the former Iron Curtain. It is important to note that he went to work in that country as a copywriter, even though he did not speak Slovak. In addition to Slovakia, he also worked in the Czech Republic – where he reached the position of Creative Director and worked in that position for 12 years – Romania, Latvia and Russia, where he finished his “Eastern Saga” in 2012. He spent fifteen years in a successful advertising career at agencies such as JWT, D’Arcy, Lowe, Publicis, BBDO, among others. The list of clients that Darlan has served in the 5 countries he has worked on covers the entire alphabet, from A to Z.
In 2009 – while still living in Russia and working in parallel as Creative Director for BBDO – he landed his first major client for New Option Corp; Tramontina, one of the largest manufacturers of kitchen utensils in the world. Back in Brazil in 2012, Darlan focused 100% on New Option Corp. and, since then, has gained clients from countries such as Israel, Russia, Argentina, Czech Republic, Romania, United States, among others. In the clients section, you will find the complete list of clients who trust New Option Corp. to open new markets and expand internationally.
Darlan also has a Master’s degree in Business Management and his final dissertation is focused on the internationalization of Brazilian startups/scaleups.
Fluent in 4 different languages - Portuguese, English, Spanish and French – Darlan is also fluent in the innovation ecosystem, being a mentor for hubs such as Distrito, one of the most important in Latin America.
